It is possible to install a 5th wheel hitch in a truck that has a service bed depending on the type of service bed. If the service bed is the type that has all the doors and storage on the sides and is much larger than a regular side rails on a truck bed, you will not be able to install a 5th wheel hitch.

You can actually lock the B&W Companion # BWRVK3715 to the OEM puck system on your 2022 Chevy Silverado 3500 using a padlock that has a shackle diameter of 5/16", a height of 3", and a width of 2-1/4". According to Curt, when installing trailer hitch # 13920 on a 1992 Chevy S-10 with the factory roll pan bumper you only have to relocate the spare tire if the truck is a short bed model (6 foot bed). Curt trailer hitch # 13028 for your 1985 Chevy C-10 will likely fit without modifying the spare tire hanger/location provided that the tire size is a stock size and not an aftermarket larger size. If it is a larger than stock size then it is possible that modifications would need to be made or the spare would need to be carried in the bed of the truck.
